How can I know God?
Christianity is an invitation to know God as he has revealed himself in Jesus. In Jesus we can come to know not just about God, but to actually know God – his love, his mercy and his power.
Ours is a fellowship of believers, strugglers, doubters and those who long for more. Come and join us as we seek to know God in Christ – in worship, prayer, friendship and study. We’d love to have you.
What is a typical service like?
Our services last about an hour and fifteen minutes. We’re not very formal, so you can dress in whatever way makes you comfortable.
Our services feature a mix of music (old songs and new ones), prayers, preaching that centers on who Jesus is and what that means for us today, and sacraments (we celebrate the Communion Meal every Sunday).
We have people from every ethnic, social, cultural, generational and political background – so don’t worry too much about whether you will fit in. We think you’ll find a friendly, welcoming group of people.
Where do you meet?
We meet at 426 McDuff Avenue South (map). That’s the chapel of the City Rescue Mission.
We love our partnership with this great organization, and are pleased to call many of their current and former students our friends and church members. We encourage you to learn more about CRM at their website, and to join us in serving alongside them.
What should I do with my children?
During our services we have nursery care for children from birth to 4 years old. Look for the check in station outside when you arrive.
Children in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade start the service with their families, and then are dismissed just before the sermon for a special lesson tailored to them. They will be brought back in to you before communion.
We also have classes for kids of all ages during our School of Discipleship hour.
