GROWTH GROUPS

Growth Groups are small groups of men or women that meet weekly for the purpose of believing the Gospel, belonging in relationships, and becoming more like Christ. Our hope is that the group members will connect deeply, not merely in surface-level conversations. In these groups we will seek to know and be known, love and be loved. We will do this primarily by reading, studying and applying God’s word to our lives in the real world; praying pray with and for one another; and opening ourselves up to one another with transparency in order to pursue our growth in Christ

Here are some frequently asked questions to help you connect with a growth group.

What are They?

Growth Groups are small groups of men or women (usually 4-8) meeting regularly to encounter Jesus and to grow as his disciples.

Why growth groups?

The church exists to make disciples of Jesus. Disciples are those who know themselves to be deeply loved by God in Christ, and in response are learning to live out of love towards God and others. Growth groups provide a relational context to help us cultivate this life of love. They provide friendship, support, encouragement and accountability.

When do they meet?

Groups meet weekly, from September through November, and January through May. Groups meet at different times and locations at the discretion of the leader and members of the group.

What do they do?
A typical growth group meeting will include three main activities –

1. Bible study focused on personal transformation by grace
2. Life-on-life sharing, encouragement and accountability
3. Prayer

How do I get into a group?

Groups are open to new people year-round. If you’d like help getting connected with a Growth Group, check the list below, find one that works for you and check it out. If you’d like help finding the right group, you can email us here for some help.

Who can lead a group?

Any growing disciple of Jesus who is willing to invest their life into the lives of other men or women can lead a group. They must be willing to be coached and willing to be accountable to the pastor and elders of the church. If you are interested in becoming a group leader, please contact Pastor Charlie directly.
